The Heather Roberts School of Dancing was formed in 1985 in Cannock, Staffordshire. We have trained medallists and competitors having travelled all across the country to support our pupils who have given us tremendous pleasure over the years. Our pupils took their medals with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and we are very proud to say that we have had British Champions and finalists within our school. For twenty five years the school dedicated most of its time to the competative side of dancing but the last couple of years has concentrated more on the social side of dancing. Although I miss the adrenalin of the competative side I must say that although the social dancing is very different, in its way it brings as much pleasure. We have some fabulous afternoons and evenings and are very lucky to have a loyal following of fantastic people.
On the next page I would like to tell you a little more about my dancing background and also introduce you to Gemma Aldus. Gemma starting dancing with Barry & I as a young girl and is now a teacher in her own right and helps me teach at evening classes.
Gemma and myelf are the principal intstructors of the school with a wealth of experience to help you along the way, You will be amazed at how quickly it is to learn to dance in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can make many friends and maybe even meet up with some old ones.
Available for medal and competitive work, social dancing, beginner to championship standard, private lessons, adjudicating, wedding dances, music. Have a look through our class times to find one that suits you or call us to discuss your specific arrangements but first of all, lets meet us both.
